The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, along with Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, challenges hunters to complete the Nebraska Upland Slam. Harvest four birds – a sharp-tailed grouse, greater prairie-chicken, ring-necked pheasant and northern bobwhite quail – in Nebraska, and receive an official certificate, Nebraska Upland Slam pin and epic bragging rights. Upon submission of the first verified upland bird species harvest, 2019-2020 participants will be entered into monthly drawings for prizes. Additionally, all hunters who complete the slam during the 2019-20 season will be registered to win one of several great prizes including the Grand Prize, Browning Silver 12-gauge semiautomatic shotgun.
All birds must be harvested during the 2019-2020 season. Harvests prior to Sept. 1, 2019 are not eligible for this year’s slam. All submissions must be received by midnight on Jan. 31, 2020 to be eligible toward the Upland Slam
