Northern bobwhite quail: Oct. 25, 2025 - Jan. 31, 2026- Description
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, along with Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, challenges hunters to complete the Nebraska Upland Slam. Harvest all four upland bird species – a sharp-tailed grouse, greater prairie-chicken, ring-necked pheasant and northern bobwhite quail – in Nebraska during the 2025-26 season, and receive an official certificate, Nebraska Upland Slam pin and epic bragging rights. Top Dog certificates and dog tags will be mailed out while supplies last. All hunter who complete the slam during 2025-26 season will be entered to win prizes from Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever.
All birds must be harvested legally during the 2025-26 season. Harvests prior to Sept. 1, 2025 are not eligible for this year’s slam. All submissions must be received by midnight on Jan. 31, 2026 to be eligible toward the Upland Slam.
